Level Acoustics offers a wide range of consultancy services
in the field of architectural acoustics. Whether it concerns a new building or
an existing building, state of the art acoustic measurement equipment and
methods and prediction models are used to analyze design proposals and options
to improve the acoustic quality. By working in close cooperation with the client
and the design team from the early design phase we are able to fully balance the
acoustics in relation to all quality aspects.
Room acoustics
Functional spaces have to meet visual as well as acoustical expectations, whether it concerns an working space or a concert hall. Existing spaces can have acoustical deviancies like too much or too few reverberation or poor speech intelligibility. Room finish, room shape and room dimensions are import room acoustical design criteria. We will propose materials to use and where to apply to control reverberation and reflections and to provide good speech intelligibility or privacy.
Sound isolation
Acoustic sensitive spaces must be protected to noise coming from adjacent spaces or from
outside. Office workers must be able to work concentrated and a certain level of privacy is desired. The environment of music buildings has to be protected from loud music coming from inside halls or studios, while listeners don't want to be disturbed by outside noise like traffic
noise. We propose what constructions should be used to achieve the necessary sound isolation. Details are proposed or checked on the correct acoustic performance.
Noise and vibration control
Besides airborne noise from outside, vibrations from external sources eg traffic or railroads can cause noise problems inside buildings. Also, equipment like HVAC systems may cause hindrance when not designed proper acoustically. We show what provisions are possible to avoid or reduce noise and vibrations.
